Lewis wins in the wet

1253: Welcome to our coverage of the Belgian Grand Prix on The Race 1.1b.

1255: The cars are on the grid and we have Lewis starting today's race from second and Jenson fifth.

1256: Lewis is sharing the front row of the grid with Mark Webber, the championship leader.

1256: As well as those two Jenson is behind Robert Kubica's Renault and Sebastian Vettel's Red Bull.

1256: Race start in less than five minutes.

1257: It's dry at the track this morning but as you'll know if you followed the other sessions that can change quickly here.

1259: The team personnel are clearing the grid.

Pit: "10 seconds to go"

1300: Formation lap has begun.

Pit: "Guys, everybody ready please."

1302: Cars coming up to the grid now.

Pit: "Last cars in final corner now."

1303: Lewis straight into the lead

1303: Jenson trying to pass Kubica

Pit: "Possible rain at turn 14."

1304: Lewis first, Jenson third, great start from both our drivers.

Pit: "Light drizzle from turn 14 to start/finish line."

HAM:"Rain is getting heavier"

1306: Jenson has passed Kubica who went off at the top of the hill.

1307: Safety car

Pit: "Stay out, stay out."

1308: Neither of our cars pitting behind the saftey car.

Pit: "It has stopped raining in the pit lane."

Pit: "Safety car in this lap."

1311: Race restarts

1313: Jenson has some damage on his front wing.

1314: Lewis leading Jenson by 1.5 seconds

1315: Lewis increases his lead to 2.7 seconds

Pit: "Lewis, pace is good, keep it up, no more rain expected at the moment."

1318: Lewis leads Jenson by 3.8 seconds on lap seven.

Pit: "Lewis you are currently the fastest driver on the track by six tenths of a second."

1321: Jenson has Vettel very close behind, gap is 0.6 seconds at the moment.

Pit: "Chance of rain in 20 minutes."

Pit: "Jenson you're still the fifth-fastest car despite the damage, you're doing a great job."

1324: The teama are keeping a close eye on Jenson's front wing.

HAM:"Is pace still good?"

Pit: "Yes pace is still good - around one second faster than the cars behind."

1328: Vettel very close to Jenson now.

1328: Lewis leading by 7.6 seconds

1330: Vettel tries to pass Jenson at turn five but Jenson stays ahead.

1331: Lap 14, Lewis has an 8.3 second lead over Jenson.

1332: Behind Jenson are Vettel, Kubica, Webber and Massa covered by 3.3 seconds.

Pit: "Possible small shower at turn 14/15."

Pit: "In the pits for Jenson"

1336: Vettel tried to pass Jenson and crashed into him

Pit: "Turn the engine off Jenson."

1337: Jenson is out.

Pit: "Lewis, Jenson is now out of the race. The cars behind may increase their pace, we'll keep an eye on it."

HAM:"What the gap at the moment?"

Pit: "11 seconds"

Pit: "OK Lewis there's another possible shower coming, it will be small and hit turn 14 first."

Pit: "On that last lap Kubica behind us was the same as us. Gap 10.5 seconds."

1342: Vettel has been given a drive-through penalty for crashing into Jenson.

Pit: "Lewis, Kubica two tenths quicker on the last lap."

1347: Lewis sets a new fastest lap, 1'51.243

Pit: "Lewis you were six tenths quicker on the last lap. Cars behind are starting to pit."

1348: Lewis's lead is now 11.6 seconds, it hasn't come down since Jenson went out.

Pit: "OK Lewis cars behind have pitted we want you to box this lap, please confirm."

HAM:"Box this lap OK."

Pit: "OK Lewis this is the prime tyre, remember to stay right of the white line on the pit exit."

1351: Lewis comes out of the pits still in the lead.

1353: A disappointed Jenson is talking to the TV cameras.

Pit: "Lewis you were three-tenths quicker on the last lap."

Pit: "Lewis possible slow car on the circuit in front of you: Vettel with a puncture."

1359: Lewis's lead now 9.5 seconds.

1400: Lewis does the fastest lap, 1'49.591.

Pit: "Lewis, rain is forecast in five laps."

1403: Lewis was 1.4s faster than Kubica on that lap, he leads by 11.2 seconds.

Pit: "Lewis, intensity will start light, it may get heavier after that."

1405: Lewis leads by 12 seconds, another fastest lap that time by.

Pit: "Lewis we expect rain over turn 14/15 soon."

Pit: "Gap behind 13 seconds"

1408: Ten laps to go, rain is falling again.

Pit: "Lewis has run off at turn 8 but got back on the track."

Pit: "Box this lap."

Pit: "Lewis changes to intermediate tyres."

Pit: "Eight laps to go."

1413: Lewis still leads, Webber is now second.

1414: Lewis's lead over Webber is 2.8 seconds.

Pit: "Lewis turn 14 wettest area."

Pit: "Lewis, pace is good, you're pulling away from Webber."

HAM:"Rain is starting to come down more."

Pit: "Lewis, safety car deployed."

Pit: "Lewis we have five laps to go."

HAM:"It's slippery but it doesn't seem too bad."

HAM:"The safety car is going too slow."

Pit: "Understood, Lewis."

1422: Behind Lewis the order is Webber, Kubica, Massa, Sutil, Schumacher, Kobayashi, Rosberg, Petrov and Alguersuari.

Pit: "Lewis at the end of this lap we have four more laps to go."

Pit: "Safety car in this lap."

Pit: "No overtaking until after the safety car one line."

1424: Restart

1425: Lewis keeps his lead from Webber

1427: Lewis's lead one second.

1428: Lewis pulls out another 0.7s on Webber on that lap.

Pit: "Lewis, last lap, it's possible there may be a bit more rain."

1432: Lewis wins the Belgian Grand Prix!

Pit: "Absolutely fantastic drive Lewis!"

HAM:"Fantastic job you guys this weekend. Fantastic! I'm so happy! Woo!"

Pit: "Everybody on Lewis's car: fantastic job this weekend, well done."

1433: That's Lewis's third win of 2010.
