Nowadays, the number followers you have on your social networking site of choice is often more a badge of honour than an accurate reflection of who your friends really are.
Nevertheless, when the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Facebook counter clocked 100,000 followers today, we felt a little surge of pride.
You might argue that corporate Facebook and Twitter accounts simply add a sheen of approachability to somewhat faceless entities, but we’d argue the opposite: we’ve taken lots of time and effort to create pages that are fun, informative, engaging and, well… just a little different from what you’d find anywhere else.
And we’re proud of the results, and the community that has grown around us too.
